About Me

I am a researcher and policy thinker whose work explores the connections between finance, sustainability, and resilience. With a decade of academic and professional experience, he focuses on translating complex financial systems into practical tools for sustainable and inclusive development.

Background

I hold a Ph.D. in Islamic Economics and Finance from Sakarya University, Türkiye (2025), where his research examined the intersection of Islamic finance, sustainability, and green transitions. My academic path includes a Master of Science in Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), in Malaysia (2019), and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Investment from Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University, Saudi Arabia (2016). Over the past years, I have worked with international organizations and research centers, including the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development, and AfroPolicy — contributing to projects that bridge financial innovation with real-world policy and development goals.

Research Philosophy

Research Philosophy & Mission

My research philosophy is grounded in the belief that finance is not merely a technical tool, but a social mechanism that can foster justice, stability, and long-term prosperity. I strive to connect economic thought with public policy, focusing on how sustainable finance and governance reforms can strengthen resilience in emerging economies. Whether through academic research or policy writing, my mission is simple: to make finance work for people — not the other way around.

Focus & Expertise Areas

I focus on the intersections where finance, governance, and sustainability meet.

  1. Sustainable & Green Finance: Exploring how Islamic and green finance can accelerate climate resilience.
  2. Public Policy & Governance: Analysing fiscal, institutional, and policy tools that enable inclusive growth.
  3. Energy & Environmental Economics: Studying the links between financial systems and clean energy transitions.
  4. Africa–Asia Development Dynamics: Understanding shared challenges in trade, investment, and resilience across the Global South.
Beyond Academia

Beyond Academia

Today, my work extends beyond academic research. I write policy briefs, contribute opinion pieces, and collaborate on initiatives that connect sustainable finance with social and environmental outcomes. My long-term vision is to build bridges between research, policy, and practice — shaping conversations that redefine how finance contributes to peace, governance, and development, especially across Africa and Asia.
